Carl B. Schiller

CARL B. SCHILLER age 69, beloved husband of Barbara Nagle (nee Speidel); loving step-father of Josh (wife Gina) and Brad Nagle (wife Ali); devoted grandfather of Isaiah, Sawyer, Jeremiah, deceased, Silas, Marilla; cherished son of the late Elmer and Marian Ruth (nee Martin); dearest brother of Sandra Campbell (husband Jeff), Susan Alexy (husband Donald), and Daniel (wife Margaret); cherished nephew of Carolyn Konya and William Martin; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many.

Carl was born May 24, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio. Graduating from Charles Brush High School in 1975, he went on to work as a juvenile probation officer for Cuyahoga County. Carl was a parishioner of Grace Lutheran Church of Lakewood, where he often volunteered. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid beekeeper, gardener, and fisherman. Carl also liked sports and always followed hockey, basketball, and Captains baseball games. He loved to travel, especially to the beach and by cruise. Carl stayed young at heart, practicing ballroom dance and bowling for fun. Carl was an easy-going jokester who was always seen with a smile. He is remembered for his selfless attitude, endless generosity, and unforgettable sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Carl to Nottingham Baptist Church, 2921 Bishop Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carl at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS COMMUNITY ROOM, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY from 4 – 8 PM.
