In Loving Memory of Carol

Carol will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her many talents, and the joy she found in bringing people together.

Family was at the heart of everything Carol did. She especially loved hosting holiday gatherings, filling her home with laughter, wonderful meals, and cherished traditions. A wonderful cook and baker, she took great pride in preparing meals for those she loved and making every occasion feel special.

Carol was also a talented quilter who created beautiful handmade pieces, each reflecting her creativity, patience, and attention to detail. She loved gardening and found joy in tending to her flowers and plants. Traveling was another passion, giving her the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories.

Carol had a lifelong love of animals, and there was almost always a beloved cat or dog in her home. She also shared a special bond with the family's pets, especially her granddogs. She loved spending time with them, and the affection was always returned. Even when they weren't together, Carol never forgot to ask how they were doing.

Of all the things that brought Carol happiness, few meant more to her than her two beloved grandchildren, Aiden and Audrey. They held an especially treasured place in her heart, and she took immense pride and joy in being their grandmother.

Carol is survived by her children, Debbie Brenner (Lori Maxwell), Jennifer Kanaus, and Jason; and her cherished grandchildren, Aiden and Audrey.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Becky, in 2015, and her husband, Karl, in 2017.Carol leaves behind a lifetime of love, treasured family traditions, and countless memories. Her warmth, generosity, and the love she poured into her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2:00PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carol at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS COMMUNITY ROOM, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY 1-2PM.
