CAROLYN R. BIELEK age 76, cherished daughter of the late Stephen and Elsie (nee Lacienski) Bielek; dearest sister of Terry Miller (deceased) (husband Ken deceased), Judy, Janet McGrath (husband J. Patrick), Jerry (wife Toni), Barbara Hoagland (husband Doug), Peggy Balzano (husband Bruce), Dan (wife Barb), Maryann Jack (husband David), Stephen (Marion) and Tom (wife Maria); dear aunt and great-aunt of many; survived by her canine companion Winnie.
Carolyn was born on February 17, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. She lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others, touching countless lives through her kindness, creativity, and warm spirit.
A proud graduate of Hoban Dominican High School, Class of 1968, Carolyn continued her education at St. John College. She dedicated her career to education, working as a teacher at Immaculate Conception, St. Paschal, and St. Theresa, where she inspired generations of students with her patience, compassion, and commitment to helping others learn and grow.
Faith was an important part of Carolyn's life, and she was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine. Her faith provided strength and guidance throughout her life and was reflected in the love and care she showed to everyone around her.
Outside of her career, Carolyn had a creative spirit. She enjoyed crafts and artwork. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, whose companionship brought her endless happiness. Carolyn loved listening to Neil Diamond, whose music was often the soundtrack to many cherished moments.
Those who knew Carolyn will remember her for her wonderful sense of humor, her social and outgoing personality, and her quick wit. Above all, Carolyn was deeply devoted to her family, who were the center of her life and greatest source of pride and joy.
Carolyn's legacy is one of love, laughter, creativity, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Carolyn to a Charity of your choice. Family and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 32114 Vine St, Willowick, OH 44095 at 10:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements by DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills.
