CHRISTINE M. TAYLOR (nee Rakoczy) age 58, beloved wife for 31 years of Richard; loving mother of Hannah (Eeshan Sistla) and Brian; cherished daughter of the late John and Carol (nee Neroni) Rakoczy; dearest sister of Michelle Park (husband Scot) and John Rakoczy (wife Jennifer); treasured daughter-in-law of Jeanette (nee Moore) and Melvin Taylor Jr. and sister-in-law of Melvin Taylor III, and Jennifer and Paul Johnston; dear aunt of many.
Christine ("Chris") was born on April 19th, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio. A proud and lifelong Newbury Black Knight, she graduated from high school in 1986. Chris earned her bachelor's degree in English Language Communications from John Caroll University in 1990. She went on to write for a multitude of magazines for over 35 years.
Chris loved her community, and devoted much of her time to St. Helen Church, singing with the music ensemble "Testify", and leading various fundraisers for causes connected to her family, faith and friends.
She always "had a song in her heart," but when she wasn't singing or whistling around the house, Chris could be found gardening, crafting, cooking, upholding traditions, collecting gingerbread men, or rocking out to '80s music.
Chris's family and friends were the light of her life. Her caring, but vibrant nature will live on. Chris's sense of humor was hilariously clever. She will always be remembered for the joy and love she brought to others. Her warm hugs, infectious smile, joyful laugh and deep devotion to her family and faith will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure to cross her path.
