Listen to Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of DIANE TRYKOWSKI (née Urban) on July 27, 2026, at the age of 66. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Ty; children Tiffiny (Alexander Chen) and Melissa; grandson Evan; and her siblings John, Stephanie Vierra (John), and George (Susan). She was a dear aunt, cousin, friend, and colleague of many.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Leda (née George) Urban and sister Mary.

Diane was born on May 29, 1960, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Struthers High School before attending Kent State University and Lakeland Community College, where she earned a degree in Liberal Arts. Throughout her life, Diane was known for her strength, kindness, and grace. She had a gift for making others feel welcomed and valued. Whether through her warm smile, thoughtful advice, or quiet acts of generosity, she touched lives in ways both big and small.

Diane's humble presence made an extraordinary difference. As a nursing assistant, she faithfully cared for the Sisters of Notre Dame for over 25 years with a servant's heart, never seeking recognition or praise. She instinctively stepped in and always knew what needed to be done. She was dependable, kind, and truly one of a kind.

Strong in her faith, Diane was an active parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chardon for more than thirty-five years, including teaching Sunday School for the girls when they were young. Even through her battles with cancer, she continued to show up for work, putting the needs of the Sisters and her coworkers before herself. That steadfast strength and unwavering dedication were nothing short of inspiring.

Diane's gentle spirit and humble way of serving others made her stand out. Whether sending out birthday or holiday cards, shopping for gifts, or caring for others, she touched countless lives through simple acts of kindness that sometimes went unnoticed but were deeply felt. In her spare time, Diane enjoyed sewing and crafts, walking in nature, and gardening. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate the people she loved, always insisting there should be cake-even if the guest of honor couldn't be there.

Diane's legacy is one of humble service and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
