Edith D. Matiyasic (nee Bezjak), age 95, lovingly known as "Bubie" to family and friends, passed away on September 13, 2026. Edith was born on August 26, 1931, in Cumberland, Pennsylvania, the cherished daughter of Joseph and Mary (nee Yankura) Bezjak. She later moved with her family to Cleveland, where she graduated from John Hay High School. Alongside her husband, Regis, she lovingly raised three children, grounding their home in her deep and unwavering faith. Edith took immense joy in being a homemaker, particularly through her passion for cooking, baking - with apple squares and nut rolls as her signature specialties - and needlepointing. She loved a good card game with her sisters, grandchildren, and girlfriends, and was an outgoing, faithful, and prayerful woman whose devotion guided her every day and touched all who knew her, leaving behind a cherished legacy of faith and love.
Edith was the beloved wife of the late Regis; loving mother of Regis Jr. (Rose), Rick (Maria), and Marianne; devoted grandmother of Regis (Monique Canelo), Michael (Marissa) Matiyasic, Stacey Anne (Bob) Bumbarger, Megan Wright, and Michelle (Dylan) Rhodes; and great-grandmother of Camden, Evelyn, Rowen, Colson, Ethan, Logan, Maddison, and Raegan. She was dearest sister of six siblings (deceased) and dear aunt to JoAnn Salcer and many others.
