EMILE M. ABOUHASSAN age 75, beloved husband for 52 years of Lisa (nee Tenesy); loving father of Emile G., Raymond (wife Lara), Paul (wife Angi), and Alan (wife Rachel); devoted grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 3; cherished son of the late Massoud and Evelyn (nee Farhat) Abouhassan; dearest brother of Charles (wife Dalal), Rose Ibrahim (husband Michel deceased), Nawal Chalhoub (husband John), Joseph (wife Sanna), and the late William (wife Souad); dear uncle and great-uncle of many. He is also survived by his feline companion Bashi.
Emile was born on June 10, 1951, in Aitaneet, Lebanon. He later moved to the U.S. in 1968, graduating from Cleveland Heights High School in 1969. He went to Tri-C Community Collage for 2 years then became a cherished Restaurant owner.
Strong in his community, Emile was a part of Aitaneet Brotherhood Association (ABA). In his free time, you would often find him spending time with his siblings, enjoying his favorite sweets while listening to Arabic poetry, golfing & playing cards with his friends or visiting the casino. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan watching Browns, Indians/Guardians, and Cavs whenever they were playing.
His family and friends were the center of his world. He will be remembered for his hard working, loving, and social personality. His warm hugs, bright smile, and devotion to his family and faith will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Emile to St. Jude Children’s Hospital HERE.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 24, 2026, at St. Maron Catholic Church 1245 Carnegie Ave Cleveland, OH, 44115 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Emile at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) SUNDAY 2-6 PM, The Ginnaz Service at 5 PM.
