Joanne C. Montanya

JOANNE C. MONTANYA, age 86, beloved companion of the late Sharon Jaeger; cherished daughter of the late Harold and Eunice (nee Masters) Montanya; dearest sister of the late Richard Montanya; dear aunt of Gregory Montanya, Steven Montanya, David Montanya, Laura Robinett, Lynn Swartz and great and great-great aunt to many.

Joanne was born on July 23, 1940 in Wooster, Ohio. She was a graduate of Ohio University and Kent State University with a master's degree. She enjoyed a thirty-one-year career as a teacher in the Berea City School District. Joanne was an avid golfer. She was a member and officer of several golf leagues and traveled with friends to play in tournaments. During her league play she shot two holes-in-one. She was also an enthusiastic fan of the Cleveland Browns. Joanne liked reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and going to the casinos.
