JOSEPH A. MAMONE age 91, beloved husband for 68 years of Patricia A. (nee Cusack) Mamone; loving father of Nancy Zoller, Edward (wife Lisa Roberts-Mamone), David (wife Megan), and the late Gregory; devoted grandfather of Adrian (husband Matthew Pieper) and Helen Mary Zoller, Katherine “Kate” (husband Jeremy Smith) and Christopher Mamone (Kayla Cleveland), Mary Paoletti (husband Sean), Molly, Jack, and Timothy Mamone; great-grandfather of Mack and Meadow; cherished son of the late Peter and Edna (nee Sciotto) Mamone; brother of Russell and the late Anthony (wife Pat, deceased) and brother-in-law of Daniel and Laurie Cusack; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Joe was born June 1, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Holy Name High School in 1953. After high school, Joseph went to OSU where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. He attended Western Reserve Law School and graduated with his law degree. He was a practicing attorney for 54 years with the firm of Gurney Miller and Mamone. Joe was married to Pat for 68 years; he was a family man and always put his loved ones first. He had an unwavering commitment to his son Greg, and he will be remembered for his unconditional love, dedication and care.
Joseph was an Indians and Browns sports fan and liked listening to Sinatra. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii and Europe, Italy in particular. Joseph’s determination, strong-will, and positive attitude left an impression on many. He will be remembered for his upbeat spirit, great sense of humor, and devotion to his family and faith.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. Clare Catholic Church, 5659 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124, at 10 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joseph at DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 4 – 7 PM.
