JOYCE M. WASCO (neé BOCCHIERI), age 70, beloved wife for 18 years of E. Martin “Marty”; cherished daughter of the late John and Mary (neé Frano) Bocchieri; dearest sister of John Jr. (Sondra), David (Cindy), and Rick Bocchieri; loving sister-in-law of Connie (Bob) Campbell and Cindy (Jim) Patton; dear aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 5, 2026.
Joyce was born on April 19, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Wickliffe, Ohio. Upon graduation from high school, Joyce began a long and steadfast career as an inside sales manager. Her dedication and commitment to her profession spanned nearly 50 years, revealing qualities of innovation, loyalty and integrity.
Joyce enjoyed dancing and Tae Bo kickboxing. A devoted animal lover, she was a dog mom to Reagan and the late Nieka. She enjoyed cruising with her husband, Marty on his Harley and in their convertible Corvette.
Joyce was hardworking and organized, ever the beating heart of her family. She had a nurturing and fiercely loyal spirit toward her loved ones. She faithfully took on a large role of caring for her parents as they aged. Her loving heart was evidenced by her showering those she loved with special gifts. Her nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces were especially blessed by her personal interest in each of them.
Joyce, an excellent cook, would spend hours preparing her famous lasagna for holiday and Sunday family gatherings, often hosted at her house. It made watching Browns football easier to cope with.
Joyce attended Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills, Ohio with her family from childhood, and her faith in Christ was evident in her strength of character. Although lovely in appearance, she was recognized especially for her inner beauty of spirit. She will always be remembered for her caring heart, joyful spirit, and devotion to her family and faith.
