Joyce M. Wasco

JOYCE M. WASCO (neé BOCCHIERI), age 70, beloved wife for 18 years of E. Martin “Marty”; cherished daughter of the late John and Mary (neé Frano) Bocchieri; dearest sister of John Jr. (Sondra), David (Cindy), and Rick Bocchieri; loving sister-in-law of Connie (Bob) Campbell and Cindy (Jim) Patton; dear aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 5, 2026.

Joyce was born on April 19, 1956, in Cleveland and grew up in Wickliffe. Upon graduation from high school, Joyce began a long and steadfast career for nearly 50 years as an inside sales manager at Merit Brass until retiring. 

Joyce enjoyed Tae Bo kickboxing, softball, high impact workouts and dancing. A devoted animal lover, she became very involved in the hobby of dog training. She was a dog mom to Reagan and the late Nieka. Joyce enjoyed cruising with her husband, Marty on the Harley and in their convertible Corvette.

Joyce had a nurturing, joyful and positive spirit toward everyone she encountered. She looked forward to our traditional gatherings for pasta where we all spent time with Mom and Dad. She often showered her family with gifts, a true reflection of her loving heart and deep care for us. Her nephews and nieces were especially blessed by her heart felt love and interest in each of them.

Joyce, an excellent cook, would bless us with her famous lasagna for any event always making it celebration worthy!! 

Joyce attended Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills with her family since childhood. Her faith in Christ became the most important core belief in her life. Joyce will always be remembered for her rare kind of beauty. Her outward grace caught your eye right away and her inner kindness and warm heart made everyone love her more every single day.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joyce at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Tuesday, August 11th from 3 – 7pm.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Calvary Assembly of God, 28870 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092 from 10 – 11 am, with the Celebration of Life service to follow immediately in the sanctuary. Burial will take place afterward at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, Ohio.
