JULIE ANN COLACARRO age 56, beloved wife of Angie for more than 23 years; loving mother of John Anthony Colacarro and Chell Lyn Oak; cherished daughter of Josephine (neé Nasca) and the late John Michael Colacarro, and daughter-in-law of the late Angela Cooke; dearest sister of Jennifer Kaifesh (Russ Morrow) and Jeffrey Colacarro (wife Maria), and sister-in-law of Andrew Cooke (wife Aida) and the late Sally Cooke; dear aunt of Anthony Colacarro (wife Sydney), Danielle Davies (husband Jared), and Nick Colacarro, and great-aunt of Declan Colacarro; companion to her treasured dogs and cats Bo, Baxter, Lacey, Cagney, Sunny, Rainbow, Road, Baby, Mini “Min” Rainbow, Ozzy, Annie, Ruby, and Sweetie.
Julie was born on July 26, 1969, in North Randall, Ohio, but has called Wickliffe home her entire life. Upon
graduation from Wickliffe High School in 1987, she continued her education at The Ohio State University. After earning her Bachelor of Science in 1992, she created a life that focused on the education of others. Passionate about the work she did, not only did she care for children through Special Angels Daycare, which she founded and ran with the help of her parents’ involvement, but privately tutored students of all ages. Julie was intelligent, truly enjoyed teaching, and deeply cared for others. She volunteered with many educational groups, including yearly Summer Camps at Coulby Park. Growing up, Julie was always involved, a trait that stayed with her through adulthood. Having been a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, she was active with the Mt. Carmel Players, having served on the board of the group for several years as well as contributing tirelessly to countless theatre productions; Theatre was her passion. A huge fan of Judy Garland, listening to showtunes and getting lost in old movies perhaps offered more than being on stage. Off stage, Julie was a wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She relished trips with her family to Hocking Hills and Tappan Lake, fishing for hours, and simple moments like watching sports, as she was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as an avid listener and watcher of Cleveland sports. On June 28, 2026, Julie earned her much deserved rest. Though her physical absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her; her presence remains the light in their darkest days.
