Kenneth "Kenny" John Fisher, 63, of Chardon, Ohio, passed away at his home on May 4, 2026. Born March 12, 1963, in Geneva, Ohio, Kenny was the son of Janet E. (Snyder) English and the late Henry J. Fisher, Jr. He graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1981 and built a lifelong career in construction, earning a reputation for his meticulous precision and skill as a heavy equipment operator.
In early adulthood, Kenny moved to Arizona to be with Dianne M. Fisher, who later became his wife of 19 years and the mother of their two children, whom they raised in Tucson. In 2020, Kenny returned to Ohio to care for his mother.
Kenny was a devoted father whose love for his kids was perhaps most evident in his unwavering support of their sports dreams. He went above and beyond - supporting them as they played on top travel teams, connecting them with college mentors, and ensuring they made it to every practice, game, and tournament on time. Kenny will forever be remembered as his kids' proudest fan in the stands.
Alongside the love he had for his family, Kenny carried struggles of his own. Despite experiencing mental health challenges, he cared deeply for his children and worked hard to support his family. Through the ups and downs, his faith and connection to God remained an important source of strength in his life.
In his last year, Kenny experienced a meaningful period of spiritual reflection that allowed him to welcome greater forgiveness and love into his heart. By openly sharing his story with people facing hardships, he offered hope and inspired others to deepen their own connection with God. Kenny will be remembered for his caring heart, deep sensitivity, and incredible resilience.
As a child of the 70s, Kenny loved basketball and rock music. Even in his later years, he enjoyed driving around in his Mustang with the windows down and AC/DC blasting through his stereo. He held strong beliefs and convictions, as well as a deep appreciation for his country. Kenny will also be remembered for his love of Forrest Gump, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and his perfected egg salad recipe.
In recent years, Kenny took to birdwatching and developed a particular affinity for the Pileated Woodpecker. This large red-capped bird serves as a reminder that his spirit flies free and his love lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Kenny is survived by his mother Janet E. (Snyder) English, sister Barbara Bielby (Pat), son Cameron C. Fisher (Sarah), daughter Cassandra "Casey" M. Fisher (Farshad), granddaughter Rebecca "Becca" J. Fisher, and a grandchild due in June 2026. He was predeceased by his father Henry J. Fisher, Jr. and brother James A. Fisher.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
