Linnea "Lee" Hoffman

March 28, 1950 — May 25, 2026

LINNEA "LEE" HOFFMAN (nee Larson) age 76, beloved wife of Alan Sr.; loving mother of Alan Jr. and Brian (Lauren); devoted grandmother of Blake and Caleb; cherished daughter of the late Nils and Helen (nee Fronek) Larson, and daughter-in-law of the late Alva and Louise Hoffman; sister-in-law of Laura Hoffman.

Linnea, fondly known to family and friends as Lee, was born on March 28, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation from high school, she continued her studies in liberal arts at Wittenberg University before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. With this education and background, she proudly worked as lead secretary for the head of security for May Company. Lee later worked as legal secretary for the head of a predominate law firm before finding herself assisting others with finding their dream home through Howard Hanna Realty. Working as a realtor brought her so much enjoyment and the clients who became instant friends were priceless. Lee truly valued the relationships in her life, especially those of her family. High school sweethearts, she and Alan exchanged vows nearly 54 years ago on August 19, 1972. Their union brought more than joy to each other's lives. It gave them years of fast cars, boating on the lake, trips to the ocean, and most importantly their sons. Lee's protective and nurturing ways allowed her to parent her boys, all while providing endless love and fun. She was there for every sporting event and school function, and she never shied away from the additional care that was needed of her as they grew. She relished visits to the Outer Banks every year as a family of four but loved making new memories with her grandchildren. Lee had a way of making the holidays better. Between her family pancake recipe and holiday cookies, you could literally taste her love. She had presents for her grandchildren every time she saw them. Though they weren't mystery or romance novels, she shared her passion for reading with them through her gifts of books. Lee was almost as eclectic as her musical preferences. One day you could find her tending to her flower gardens, while the next you would watch her race her muscle car across a finish line. On May 25, 2026, Lee drifted into eternal rest. Let the light she emitted onto this earth be the same light that guides you and remind you that you never walk alone.
