Lisa A. Maiher

LISA A. MAIHER (nee Krainz), age 56, died suddenly and peacefully in her sleep on August 24, 2026; beloved wife for 33 years of Jay; devoted mother of Joe (wife Eryn) and Jeremy; cherished daughter of the late James Krainz (wife Maureen) and Jean Pleszko (husband Jim, deceased); loving sister of Jim Krainz (wife Debbie), Debbie Zele (husband John), and step-sister and sister-in-law of many; dearest daughter-in-law of John (wife Judy) and the late Jackie; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Born in Euclid on July 2, 1970, Lisa grew up in Eastlake and graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1988. She married the love of her life, Jay, on September 25, 1993, and together they raised two cherished sons. Lisa took pride in her home and relished her role as her son's caregiver; her passion for children even led her to run an in-home daycare for many years.

Lisa lived life with vibrant energy and an open heart. She loved diving into a good book, exploring the paranormal, and trying out new restaurants with Jeremy. A lifelong fan of classic rock, no artist held a higher spot in her heart than Bruce Springsteen.

Generous, caring, and wonderfully feisty, Lisa was famous for opening her home to loved ones for unannounced "pop-in" visits. Time spent with her was never boring-a visit might turn into a spirited debate or leave everyone in tears of laughter from her irreverent sense of humor and boisterous, infectious laugh. Her effervescent personality made people feel instantly loved, allowing her to build deep, lasting connections with friends both locally and around the globe via social media.

Above all else, Lisa's greatest joy was her family. She never missed a chance to celebrate her children's achievements, big or small. Her favorite night of the year was Christmas Eve, where family shared tradition she summed up best with her signature phrase: "We are a kitchen family."

Lisa leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, passion, and humor. She touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
