Macklin James Gamellia, age 13, passed away June 20, 2026 at his home in Bainbridge. Born July 22, 2012, he is survived by parents Allison and Nick; sisters Gianna Giallombardo,Caydence and Camdyn; grandparents Nadine and Mark Tedeschi and Katie and Tony Gamellia; great grandparents Sandi Mazzarino and Phil Tedeschi; aunts Melissa Duenke (husband David) and Amy Scarl; uncles Jonathan Tedeschi (wife Marina), Timothy Tedeschi (wife Shelbi) and Anthony Gamellia (wife Angelea); and cousins Louise, Emily, Jo, Reid, Domenica, TJ, Brooks, Theo, and Evalena.
Macklin loved music, especially playing his piano and drumming out steady beats with his handson any surface around him. He was smart, mischievous and a practical jokester with incredible comedic timing, and his smile and laugh were infectious. Macklin was a sweet and affectionate boy who loved his family deeply. Everyone who met Mack instantly loved him, and his sisters joked he was one of the “popular kids” in school due to the way everyone gravitated toward him. Over the years, therapists, teachers, nurses and classmates would go out of their way to tell his family how much Macklin meant to them.
Macklin was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, a rare genetic condition, and he beat the odds so many times throughout his young life while remaining full of joy and love. He will be dearly missed.
