MARILYN A. HOOD (nee Ponder), age 78, loving mother of Shelly Briskin (husband Seth); devoted grandmother of Emma and Cameron; cherished daughter of the late Wallace and Evelyn (nee Woodard) Ponder; dearest sister of twins, Wayne (wife Rita, deceased) and Layne Ponder (wife Lisa); dear aunt of Jake (wife Brittany), Garrett (wife Jessie) and Sara Ponder; survived by her feline companion Shane.

Marilyn was born in Tampa, Florida on August 6, 1948 and graduated from Robinson High School in 1966 before embarking on a career as an office administrator at the Hospital of Special Surgery in NYC.

A passionate baseball fan, she enthusiastically followed the Yankees and the Guardians, though not necessarily in that order. Beyond sports, she loved classic rock 'n' roll, exploring new places through travel, and caring for cats and dogs. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Marilyn leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and deep devotion to her family and she will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Marilyn to Rescue Village. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory of Willoughby Hills. ALL SERVICES PRIVATE.
