Michael A. Gannon

May 5, 1954 — June 9, 2026

MICHAEL A. GANNON age 72, beloved father of Shane (Kara) devoted grandfather of Jaxson, Kenley, and Brayden; cherished son of the late Herbert and Sally (neé Salaba); dearest brother of Barbara (Allen) Zachary, Patrick, David, and the late Mary Ellen Osborne and John (Robert); dear uncle and friend of many.

Mike was born on May 5, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, and remained a proud lifelong resident of the area. After graduating from St. Joseph High School, he continued his education at Cleveland State University. He built a career as a general contractor with Stanley Builders where he took pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.

Mike enjoyed playing sports and formed a softball team in the 1980s as a way to bond with family and friends. As the primary left fielder for 16 years, he never once hit the cut-off man. Mike also enjoyed watching college football-especially cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes-as well as following the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He was a passionate fan of Rock n' Roll, with favorites including AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and many others.

Known for his strong will and determination, Mike's softer side shined brightest when he was with his grandchildren. Jaxson, Kenley, and Brayden. They brought him immeasurable joy, and the time he spent with them was among the most treasured moments of his life.

Mike passed away on June 9, 2026, leaving behind countless memories and a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In honor of Mike's love for family, friendship, and quality time, remember to enjoy life and cherish the people you share it with. In lieu of flowers, please spend some extra time with the ones you love.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
