MICHELLE M. LIPPERT (née Simpson) age 62, beloved wife of James; loving mother of Christopher and Micaela (Fabio); cherished daughter of the late Nancy (née Migchelberink) and Charles Simpson; preceded in death by sister Charlotte Braverman; survived by siblings Cindy Turner (Eric), Lisa Ashland, Dana Talley, Debra Talley, Meghan Hughes, and James Talley; daughter-in-law of the late Rodney and Patricia Lippert; sister-in-law of Valerie (Doug) and Willow (Kevin); dear aunt of many.
Michelle was born on May 29, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was known for her kind personality, warm smile, and talents in academics and sports. She was skilled in athletics, teaching herself to ride a unicycle as a child and playing softball in college. Some of her other hobbies included reading and learning French. She had a sharp intellect and a love for school and learning. She attended Kent State University, where she earned a degree in medical technology, and met her husband, James. While working a full-time job and raising a family, Michelle attended Cleveland State University, where she received her Juris Doctor, and later attended Case Western University, where she earned a Master of Law specializing in tax law.
Although she had a commendable career as a tax attorney with the U.S. Treasury, her greatest love was spending time with her family, including taking trips to visit her husband's family in Virginia. However, Michelle would always describe herself as a homebody and best enjoyed a day of watching sports or her favorite shows.
Michelle dealt with her many struggles with a smile and always expressed gratitude to God for all the blessings He had given her. On August 31, 2026, with her family by her side, Michelle passed away. Though her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, her kindhearted presence remains an everlasting comfort during their hardest days.
