MILAN SELAR, age 83, beloved husband of 58 years to Dora (née Jelenkovic) Selar; loving father of Janet "Jenny," Tony, Mike, and the late Mladen Selar (Angela); devoted grandfather of Nicholas, Luka, and Alyssa; cherished son of the late Vladimir and Ana (née Sironic) Selar; dearest brother of Zeljko, Franjo, Cedomil, Ivan, and the late Bozica Zuza; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.
Milan was born on February 21, 1943, in Motovunski Novaki, Istra, Croatia. In 1968, he and his wife, Dora, moved to Ohio, where they built a wonderful life together centered on family, faith, and hard work.
When he wasn't working at MTD Tool & Die, Milan could often be found tending his garden and fruit trees, making wine and spirits, or working on his latest home improvement project. He took great pride in creating, repairing, and improving things with his own hands.
Milan will be remembered for his strong work ethic, unwavering devotion to his family and faith, and his generous spirit. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. His smile, warm heart, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all, family was at the heart of Milan's life, and his legacy of love, hard work, faith, and devotion will live on through them for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Milan's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, HERE.
