Penelope T. Giza

PENELOPE T. GIZA, (née Gorczyca) age 95, beloved wife for 63 years of the late Charles "Charlie" A. Giza, loving mother of Thomas and Anthony E. (Courtney) Giza, Charlotte Harnette, and the late Charles A. Giza Jr.; devoted grandmother of Christian and Katherine; cherished daughter of Stanley and Anna (née Gill) Gorczyca; dearest sister of Ann Marie DiBlasi and the late Stan Gorsica; dear aunt of many.

Penelope T. "Penny" Giza was born April 8, 1931, in Lackawanna, New York. She would eventually make her home in the Geauga area of Ohio, where she attended St. Mary Church of Chardon. Outside of church, Penelope also laid down roots by making friends within the Polish Club. In her youth, Penelope worked in security, serving as the first female security guard at NASA. Later in life Penelope spent her time reading, canning, and gardening. She was a creative spirit and enjoyed making artificial flower arrangements and crafting. She was also known for her delicious homemade chocolates. Penelope leaves behind many friends and family whom she touched with her loving and selfless spirit.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday July 2, 2026, at St. Mary Parish of Chardon, 401 North St, Chardon, OH 44024, at 10 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial following at Hambden Township Cemetery.
