Richard "Rick" Lentz

RICHARD “RICK” LENTZ age 65, adored father of Amanda Lentz; loving grandfather of Nora; cherished son of June (nee Varcelli) and the late Stanley; devoted brother of Cheryl Anselmo (husband Steve Zurney), and Susan Tomcany; much loved uncle of Dominic and Johnnie Anselmo, Brian, AJ and Joey Tomcany; caring great uncle of Elsie and Aubrey Tomcany, and Lily Anselmo: dearest nephew of Dolores Leiden and the late Ross Varacelli, Viola Stevens, Connie Marano, Tony, Michael and Joseph Varcelli and John Lentz. Dear cousin and friend of many.

Rick was born in Cleveland on December 22, 1960 and graduated from Lake Catholic High School in 1979. He worked as a courier for a delivery service whose customers and co-workers enjoyed his friendly demeanor. He was an avid bowler, achieving numerous 300 games, and enjoyed socializing with other bowlers, who always had wonderful things to say about him. Rick was a lifelong Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed attending and watching games, and talking sports with family and friends. He also enjoyed classic rock music.

He was always quick to make you smile with his sense of humor. Rick brought joy to the lives of his friends and family who never doubted his love and devotion to them. He will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Rick to his Memorial Fund HERE for his granddaughter Nora’s education. Prayers of Christian Burial Friday, August 7, 2026 at 7PM at THE FUNERAL HOME.
