Rosanne Madeja

ROSANNE MADEJA age 78, cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Rosemarie (nee Liptak) Madeja; dearest sister of Carolyn Dohn (husband Donald), Karen Madeja, Michael Madeja (wife Kim); dear "auntie" of many.

Rosanne was born April 22, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Euclid High School then Bowling Green State University. She studied at Cleveland State University where she obtained her master's degree in education. After graduating with her master's, she went on to dedicate herself as a teacher, working for 16 years at Garfield Heights High School, Perry High School, and lastly at Eastlake Middle School.

She was a parishioner at St. Noel Catholic Church where she regularly attended bible study and was a Eucharistic minister, lector, and choir member. Rosanne also was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope, Alabama, her retirement locale. Rosanne was a proud member of many organizations and unions, including: the Lake County Retired Teachers, Ohio Retired Teachers, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, and for more than 30 years, Alcoholics Anonymous. She liked to travel and had crossed all six continents.

Rosanne loved attending reunions at Monroe Falls, picnics at Grandma's in Solon, and Christmases at Aunt Kate's and home. She is remembered for her willingness to always help others and for her strong voice from years of teaching. Rosanne had a special love for her dogs, Mitzie and Lizzie. Even when her illnesses slowed her down, her caring spirit and loving heart never faltered.

Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11 AM at All Souls Cemetery (meet at the entrance of cemetery). Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass in memory of Rosanne on Friday, November 6, 2026, at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094, at 11 AM, Eastern Time.
