ROSE MARIE HAAS (neé Arthur) age 89, beloved wife for 53 years of the late Regis Haas; loving mother of Roberta Miller, Retta (Ken) Budic, Rose Anne (Mark, deceased) McGee, Rae Marie, Robin (Dave) Oligny, Ronald, Rebecca (Terry) Everiss, and Renee; doting grandmother of Elizabeth (Joseph), Benjamin (Marielle), Kristen, Ethan (Brittani), Brian, Grant, Caleb, Mark, Sara (Bonn), Emily (Colin), Edward (Jaylene Solache) Alexander, Madeline, Savanah, Taylor (Joseph), Evan (Ingrid), and Aidan; dearest great-grandmother of Celia, Eli, Louise, Denzel, Liam, Lily, Ava, Nora, Nixon, and Henry due in November; cherished daughter of the late Dallas and Mary (nee Kvet) Arthur; dear sister of the late Ginger Husted and Rick Arthur; loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her beloved cat Mokie.
Rose Marie was born on June 17, 1936, in Euclid, Ohio, and called the Cleveland area home her entire life. Strong in her faith, she was a lifelong parishioner of St. Margaret Mary, where she was part of the Woman's Guild, and she recently attended Church of the Gesu. Rose Marie devoted 38 years to JCPenny and had many friends in the POTS group. She liked crocheting, doing crosswords, puzzles, gardening and traveling. Her favorite music to listen to was classic rock and she particularly liked The Beatles, The Eagles, and Paul McCartney. She was a "True Lady". She loved a good party and always made sure to dress up and accessorize. Though she could be sassy, she embodied a strength that allowed her to be the matriarch of her family. She lived a life devoted to her faith, her husband, and her children and their families. Out of all the jewelry she owned, her children were the jewels in her crown.
Rose Marie often said, "Bloom where you're planted", because no matter what, she saw the good in everyone she met. Her beautiful soul and loving personality will be deeply missed by family and friends.
