SUZANNE J. STOREY (nee Homner) age 90, beloved wife for 64 years of the late William A.; loving mother of Kathleen (husband Michael Davidson) and Alfred "Al" Storey (wife Lisa); devoted grandmother of Christa Fox (husband Jake), Evan Storey (wife Heather), Rachel Hauschild (husband John), Elliot Storey (wife Grace), and Abi Markovich (husband Daniel), and great-grandmother "GG" of Camryn, Dylan, Tyler, William, Austyn, Benjamin, Rhett, Lwens, Harold, and Clive; cherished daughter of the late Andrew and Bridget (nee Pietrantone) Homner; dearest sister of the late John Homner; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Suzanne was born November 18, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Shaw High School. She went on to pursue a college education and receive her associate degree. Suzanne worked for many years within the data processing industry and became a human resources manager towards the end of her working career. She was a valuable member of the community and cared deeply about the needs of others. This was evidenced by her service as a CASA volunteer for child advocacy in the courts, and in coaching and mentoring others in financial counseling. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music from the "Big Band" era on the radio and watching the birds at her bird feeders. Suzanne had a great sense of humor and loved playing card games like 'Spit on Your Neighbor.' She was extremely extroverted and found the most joy in making others laugh. Her hospitality was unmatched; she loved throwing parties, and sought to make friendships with anyone she met. Suzanne is remembered for her social spirit, strong will, and devotion to family and faith.
