Sylvia Robinson, age 102, was born as Sylvia Estelle Gregory in Dunkirk, NY.

Sylvia graduated from Fredonia State Teachers College in 1944. Later, she received an M.A. from John Carroll University in 1973. Sylvia went on to pursue a Ph.D. until she devoted her life to traveling with Ralph.

Sylvia spent many years as an elementary teacher and reading specialist in the Cleveland Heights–University Heights School System.

Sylvia married Anthony F. Dull in 1944, and together they had five children. After Tony passed away in 1979, Sylvia married Ralph Robinson in 1986, welcoming Ralph’s daughter into the family.

Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Cecile Gregory, and her brother, Frederick Gregory.

Sylvia learned to sew as a young child and later discovered a lifelong passion for the art of quiltmaking. She became an accomplished quilter, earning an Honorable Mention in the Newman Juried Religious Art Show for her exceptional work. Her many other interests included reading, acting in community theater, playing bridge, and dancing. Together, she and Ralph shared a love of travel, visiting Canada, Italy, France, England, and Mexico, and treasured many winters spent in Longboat Key, Florida.

Sylvia is survived by her six children: Sr. Megan Dull, SND; Lydia Dull; Jerome Dull; Andrew Duel, DVM; Stephen Dull; and Julie Robinson, Ph.D. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Alyssa Duel, Daniel Duel, Connor Duel, and Courtney Ambrose, USAF.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Sylvia Robinson to The Community of St. Peter, 7100 Euclid Ave., #125, Cleveland, Ohio 44103.

A funeral will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, with visitation at 10 AM and the funeral service at 11 AM at The Community of St. Peter. Parking is available in the lot on E. 71 St.
