Thomas J. McNulty, age 74, spent a lifetime making people laugh, telling stories, lending a hand, and showing up for the people he loved. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Tom was the beloved husband of Michaelene (nee Krann) for 50 years, loving father of Lisa D'Alessandro (husband Michael), Erin Moore (husband Dan), Bo Ryan, and Eric (wife Samantha), and proud grandfather of Brady McNulty, Gabriel D'Alessandro, Mick Moore, Harley D'Alessandro, Lucille Moore, and Finley Moore. He was the cherished son of the late Leo Patrick and Jean (nee Massek), dearest brother of Patty Ulrich and brother-in-law of the late Edward Krann (wife Brenda), James Krann, Joseph Krann, and John Krann (wife Sherrie), and a dear uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many, especially his best man and best friend, Anthony Stanonik.

Born on July 13, 1951, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Tom eventually made his way to Cleveland's Collinwood neighborhood. From that point on, northeast Ohio was home, where he built a life centered around family, friendship, faith, and finding reasons to laugh.

Tom graduated from Collinwood High School in 1969, where he served as class president, and later earned his bachelor's degree from Dyke College while working as a service manager with ADT Security and raising his four children.

His faith was a guiding force throughout his life. At the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption in Collinwood, he served as a parish council member, usher, Holy Name Society member, fish fry volunteer, fundraiser, and all-around dependable presence in the community. He also served as president of the Parent-Teacher Union at St. Mary's School and generously gave his time to causes and people he cared about.

Tom took his responsibilities seriously, but when the work was done, he was usually entertaining people with a story or making them laugh. He loved busting chops, telling stories, giving people a hard time, and finding humor in just about every situation. He had a quick wit, a sarcastic streak, and an uncanny ability to turn an ordinary conversation into entertainment.

Tom loved bowling, Motown music, and coaching his kids' sports. He was a lifelong fan of the Browns, Indians/Guardians, and Cavs, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, though for a brief 4 years, he was a devoted Dayton Flyers football fan.

More than anything, Tom loved his family. He was the kind of husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who could always be counted on. He showed his love through loyalty, generosity, encouragement, and, quite often, relentless teasing. The laughter he created and the memories he leaves behind will continue to be shared at dinner tables, family gatherings, sporting events, and wherever people tell great stories.

If you knew Tom, you probably have a story about him. He'd want you to tell it, embellish it a little, and make sure everyone laughs.
